Big news this weekend. Elon Musk announced live that he will personally produce chips using 2-nanometer technology, including AI chips, storage chips, and advanced packaging, all self-developed and manufactured. The annual production target is as high as 100 to 200 billion units, with computing power measured in exawatts. About 80% will be used for space computing, and 20% for ground applications, supporting Tesla’s robots, autonomous driving, and AI applications. How large is this chip production? To put it simply, it’s five to six times higher than the combined capacity of all chip factories on Earth today.

Additionally, he mentioned that the launch volume of space photovoltaic systems will also increase significantly. Previously planned to launch less than 100 gigawatts annually, now increased to 800 gigawatts, a seven to eightfold growth. The mass production plan for robots is also accelerating, moving from 1 million units per year to 10 million.

This blueprint offers enormous potential for space computing, robotics, and semiconductor equipment companies.
