HP Inc. is facing a lawsuit from six website users who allege the company secretly tracked their personal data despite user attempts to control data sharing. The lawsuit claims HP used tracking pixels from various tech companies, like TikTok, Meta, Google, Reddit, and X Corp., to intercept user communications even when visitors declined cookies or opted out. The complaint, filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, also asserts that HP displayed different cookie banners to users depending on their state.
