In important news from the Baijiu industry, on the 18th, Wuliangye Co., Ltd. issued a notice clarifying recent incidents of false SMS messages claiming to be from the company offering free liquor. The company stated that messages such as “Receive a bottle of Wuliangye for 1 yuan” and “Account balance automatically redeemed for liquor” are not officially issued. These messages are suspected of impersonating the company to mislead consumers, with risks of personal information leakage and financial loss. Wuliangye will cooperate with relevant authorities in investigations and reserves the right to pursue legal action against the responsible parties. Consumers are reminded to use the “Wuliangye Member Center” mini-program for points redemption, and to purchase products and participate in activities through official flagship stores, offline direct stores, and authorized distributors.
