Hesai Technology Secures New Stone Order to Deepen L4 Level Autonomous Urban Delivery Cooperation
Source: Shanghai Securities Journal · China Securities Journal
Shanghai Securities Journal China Securities Journal News (Chen Ming, Reporter Deng Zhen): On March 16, the reporter learned from Hesai Technology that the company will deepen strategic cooperation with leading autonomous delivery company Xinshiqi Autonomous Vehicles. In this partnership, Hesai Technology will serve as Xinshiqi’s largest lidar supplier, providing multiple models of automotive-grade lidar solutions—including high-performance long-range ATX and blind-spot FTX lidar—for its new generation L4-level autonomous urban delivery vehicles (RoboVan).
According to the company, Xinshiqi focuses on the deep application and large-scale deployment of L4 autonomous driving technology in logistics scenarios. In 2018, it launched a mass-producible L4 autonomous vehicle. By 2021, it became one of the first domestic companies to obtain road approval for autonomous delivery vehicles. Currently, it has built a full-stack capability covering hardware and software R&D, vehicle manufacturing, and intelligent dispatching. By 2025, Xinshiqi’s business is expected to see significant growth, with rapid fleet expansion. It has established a global operation network covering 17 countries and over 300 cities.
In this cooperation, Xinshiqi will adopt Hesai’s latest generation of automotive-grade long-range lidar, the ATX. This lidar is equipped with Hesai’s self-developed fourth-generation chip platform and can detect small obstacles up to 200 meters away. Additionally, its “photon isolation” technology can suppress rain and fog noise, enabling the vehicle to maintain stable perception in harsh weather conditions.
