By the end of February, China's electric vehicle charging infrastructure (chargers) reached a total of 21.01 million units, representing a year-over-year growth of 47.8%.

People’s Financial News, March 22 — According to the China Charging Alliance, by the end of February 2026, the total number of electric vehicle charging infrastructure (chargers) in China will reach 21.01 million, a year-on-year increase of 47.8%. Among them, public charging facilities (chargers) number 4.834 million, up 28.8% year-on-year; private charging facilities (chargers) number 16.176 million, up 54.6% year-on-year. Additionally, nationwide charging volume is mainly concentrated in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Hebei, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Shandong, Fujian, Henan, Shaanxi, and other provinces, with electricity flow primarily directed toward buses and passenger vehicles.
