Gelonghui March 20 — China International (01064.HK) announced that the group may record a profit (after tax) for the year ending December 31, 2025 (“2025 Financial Year”), and the loss attributable to the company’s equity holders will decrease. Based on the group’s latest management accounts for the 2025 Financial Year, the group expects to record a profit of approximately HKD 13 million (unaudited), compared to a net loss of HKD 79 million (audited) for the year ended December 31, 2024 (“2024 Financial Year”).

The turnaround from loss to profit this year is mainly due to a fair value gain of about HKD 31 million (unaudited) on an entity’s equity in the 2025 Financial Year (2024 Financial Year: audited loss of about HKD 56 million). This gain primarily results from the appreciation of the RMB during the translation process in the 2025 Financial Year. This fair value gain is a non-cash transaction and has not been realized in the group’s consolidated income statement. After accounting for non-controlling interests, the group expects to record a loss attributable to owners of the company of about HKD 15 million (unaudited) for the 2025 Financial Year, compared to an audited loss of HKD 46 million for the 2024 Financial Year.
