Chubb has announced the structure and scope of a new maritime insurance facility, created in partnership with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). As the lead underwriter, Chubb will manage the facility, determine pricing, assume risk, and issue policies for eligible vessels and cargo, including war marine risk insurance. This public-private partnership aims to restore market confidence and facilitate global energy and commercial trade, particularly for ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
