The Syrian Interim Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on the 20th condemning Israel’s attack on military infrastructure in southern Syria that day. The statement said that this attack blatantly violates the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, and is an infringement on Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The statement also said that Syria demands Israel bear full responsibility for the escalation of this danger and calls on the international community to stop Israel’s ongoing aggression and threats against Syria and the entire Middle East region.
