Coinbulletin News: On March 17, Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, called on the United States and Israel to end the war against Iran, emphasizing that the EU is in consultations with multiple Middle Eastern countries to de-escalate the current conflict through diplomatic channels. Kallas stated that the EU has engaged in communications with Gulf states, Jordan, Egypt, and others, seeking to promote negotiations among all parties to achieve conflict de-escalation and provide an "honorable exit" scheme for the relevant countries. In response to the energy and shipping crisis triggered by Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, Kallas proposed drawing on the model of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, using international mechanisms to ensure safe passage through the strait. She stated that she has communicated this proposal with the UN Secretary-General, and the UN is currently advancing related discussions.
