U.S. National Counterterrorism Center Director Kent resigned due to the U.S. and Israel’s war against Iran. In a message posted on social media to President Trump, he stated that Iran does not pose an imminent threat to the United States.

In his letter to Trump, Kent said that after careful consideration, he has decided to resign as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective immediately, because he cannot support the ongoing Iran war with a clear conscience. Iran does not pose an immediate threat to the U.S., and it is obvious that the outbreak of this war has been driven by pressure from Israel and its powerful lobbying groups in the U.S.

At the beginning of this administration, high-level Israeli officials and influential members of the U.S. media launched a false information campaign that completely undermined the “America First” policy and incited public support for war against Iran. Kent emphasized in his letter: “We cannot make the same mistake again.”

As a veteran who has fought on the battlefield 11 times and a family member who lost his beloved wife in the war manufactured by Israel, he cannot support sending the next generation to fight in a war that is of no benefit to the American people and cannot be justified at the cost of American lives.
