【Trump: No Longer Need NATO Countries’ Assistance】Financial Associated Press, March 17 — U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform “Truth Social” that the United States has received notifications from most NATO “allies” stating they are unwilling to be involved in U.S. military actions in the Middle East against Iran. Trump said he was not surprised — because he has always believed that NATO is essentially a “one-way street”: the U.S. will protect them, but they won’t do anything for the U.S., especially when the U.S. needs them. Trump stated, “The U.S. has completely destroyed Iran’s military capabilities,” “leaders at almost all levels of Iran” have also been killed, “and they can no longer pose any threat to the U.S., U.S. allies in the Middle East, or the entire world.” Therefore, the U.S. no longer needs, nor desires, assistance from NATO countries. Trump said, “In fact, the U.S. has never needed it. The same goes for Japan, Australia, or South Korea.” Trump emphasized as President of the United States: “We fundamentally do not need anyone’s help.” (CCTV International News)
