Tsim Sha Tsui fire incident occurred on Tuesday evening (17th). The K11 MUSEA shopping mall operated by New World Development (@00017) in front of the mall suddenly caught fire from a flower bed. Firefighters responded promptly after receiving the report, using hoses to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported.

Suspected cigarette butt caused the fire; flames were intense at one point

At 8:17 p.m. on Tuesday, police and firefighters responded to a report of a fire in front of K11 MUSEA at 18 Salisbury Road. It is believed that someone left a cigarette butt smoldering, causing the fire. Multiple videos and photos circulating online show that the fire in the flower bed was intense, with flames spreading to the top of the nearby wall, and passersby across the street clearly witnessing the flames.

Mall staff bravely fought the fire and received high praise from netizens

Some netizens said a mall staff member bravely fought the fire, running out with a fire extinguisher and decisively attempting to put out the flames. The footage shows the man being temporarily pushed back by thick smoke during the firefighting effort, but he quickly returned to spray the extinguisher until it was empty. Firefighters arrived shortly after, quickly spraying water to extinguish the fire successfully.
