POSCO INTERNATIONAL and POSCO FUTURE M are collaborating on a rooftop solar project at POSCO FUTURE M’s Gwangyang Cathode Plant to achieve carbon neutrality and meet RE100 goals for battery materials. This initiative, which includes installing 2.2MW of solar panels to generate 2.6GWh of renewable energy annually, marks the first joint renewable energy project between the two companies. It demonstrates synergy within the POSCO Group and sets a precedent for future renewable energy expansions, including at plants in Pohang.
