U.S. citizens who cannot leave Middle Eastern countries have accused the Trump administration of lacking assistance and evacuation plans. Despite urgent calls from the State Department to leave the region, commercial flights have been canceled, reports the Financial Times.

Trump, commenting on the situation, stated that "everything happened too quickly" and there was no evacuation plan. According to the State Department, up to 1 million Americans may be in the conflict zone. Many are stranded in airports and hotels, unable to fly out.
Chicago barber Axel Ramos said that he, his wife, and friends spent four hours on a plane that never took off for their homeland.

“The situation went from frightening to a nightmare. Hearing loud explosions, seeing rockets in the sky, and trying to find a place to stay was terrifying. But now, the lack of answers and the inability to get out — that’s what’s really scary,” he shared with ABC7.
