Deep Tide TechFlow News, February 27 — The Ethereum Foundation announced the launch of a structured support program called “Project Odin” on February 27, 2026. The program aims to help key Ethereum public product projects establish sustainable development paths. It lasts for two years and provides each team with a dedicated strategic advisor to assist in planning and executing diversified funding strategies, reducing reliance on a single source of funding.
The Vyper team (smart contract language developers) became the first pilot participant and has established the “Verified Software Foundation” as its institutional base. Project Odin views sustainability as a risk management tool, encouraging teams to build a hybrid funding portfolio that includes grants, contractual services, and business models.
The long-term vision of the program is to develop into a “Frontier Research Contractor” (FRC) model, providing the Ethereum ecosystem with enduring research and engineering delivery capabilities to enhance the resilience of the entire ecosystem.
