American Express has announced plans to construct a new 55-story headquarters at Two World Trade Center, marking the completion of the original post-9/11 master plan for the site. Larry Silverstein will develop the nearly two million square-foot tower, which is expected to create 3,200 jobs and contribute $5.9 billion to the city’s economy. This development signifies a major rebound for Lower Manhattan and American Express’s continued commitment to the area.
