Ethereum Foundation plans seven forks by end of 2029 to achieve five major goals
On February 26, Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake announced in a post that the foundation has introduced its “strawmap” roadmap. The plan outlines seven forks to be completed by the end of 2029, with an envisioned upgrade cadence of once every six months.▶️▶️▶️ The roadmap includes five key objectives: Fast L1 finality, a “gigagas” L1 achieving 10,000 TPS via zkEVM, a “teragas” L2 enabled by data availability sampling, post-quantum cryptography, and native L1 privacy to shield ETH transfers.
