As of the time of writing, Guofu Quantum (00290) rose 5.57% to HKD 3.41; Lianlian Digital (02598) increased 5.21% to HKD 7.67; Guotai Junan International (01788) gained 4.53% to HKD 3; Yunfeng Financial (00376) went up 4.23% to HKD 3.2; ZhongAn Online (06060) rose 2.48% to HKD 16.12.
On the news front, the first stablecoin company Circle surged 35.34%, marking the largest single-day increase since June 5. Its latest quarterly earnings significantly exceeded market expectations, and the circulation of stablecoin USDC increased by 72%, reaching $75.3 billion. Additionally, on February 25, Hong Kong SAR Financial Secretary Paul Chan delivered the 2026-2027 fiscal year government budget in the Legislative Council. Chan stated that Hong Kong has implemented a licensing system for fiat-backed stablecoin issuers and will issue the first batch of licenses next month. The government and financial regulators will continue to promote licensed issuers to explore more application scenarios within compliance and risk control.
