Canada announces new electric vehicle strategy, will collaborate with China

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced a new electric vehicle strategy on the 5th, including the resumption of vehicle purchase subsidies and cooperation with China to promote local production and export of electric vehicles in Canada. According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Canada will fully leverage existing and new trade agreements, including the recent electric vehicle cooperation agreement with China, to promote large-scale investments in the sector, diversify Canada’s automotive export markets, and establish Canada as one of the global leaders in the electric vehicle industry.
