ING Group: The US dollar's safe-haven aura weakens but its fundamentals remain intact; de-dollarization has not accelerated yet

Gelonghui February 24 | The latest research report from ING (ING Group) indicates that since 2024, the safe-haven properties of the US dollar have weakened, but its dominant global position has not experienced a systemic shake-up. The report analyzes that by calculating the correlation coefficients between the US dollar index, US stocks, and 10-year US Treasury bonds over the past three months, it is evident that the dollar has partially lost its traditional safe-haven function compared to 2024. However, the bank emphasizes that there has been no widespread or structural deterioration in global demand for the dollar.
