SBF's pardon is hopeless! The White House responds to its public opinion campaign, stating that Trump made a statement in January

Recently, Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for FTX fraud, has been frequently speaking out on social media, openly expressing support for President Trump.

Not only that, Bankman-Fried also posted a series of comments attacking the "deep state" and presiding judge Lewis Kaplan. These actions are widely interpreted as an effort to garner public support for a presidential pardon.

However, the White House's response has poured cold water on these speculations. According to Fortune, a White House spokesperson reiterated that President Trump made it clear in January that he does not plan to pardon Bankman-Fried, as well as Robert Menendez, Nicolás Maduro, and others. The spokesperson emphasized, "The President is the final decision-maker on all pardon cases," and the current stance has not changed.

It is worth noting that although the Trump administration adopted a relatively friendly regulatory stance toward the crypto industry and relaxed some enforcement, Bankman-Fried, a former Democratic major donor, is naturally opposed to the Trump camp politically. This identity attribute also becomes a major obstacle in his pursuit of a pardon.

More critically, as the instigator of the trust crisis in the crypto industry, Bankman-Fried's personal reputation has plummeted to an all-time low. Sources indicate that under the dual pressures of severe negative image and legal scrutiny, his efforts to seek a pardon are generally seen as having little chance.

In summary, this event clearly reveals that political alignment and industry reputation repair are as challenging for a fallen prisoner as defending oneself in court.

Faced with a clear political stance barrier and an unerasable past, Bankman-Fried's "plea for help" on social media is more like a solo performance destined to go unanswered.
