Abstract generation in progress

The PP market has seen little change recently, with fundamentals remaining weak. Prices have mostly fluctuated before the holiday, with limited room for upward or downward movement. As the year-end approaches, downstream participants are gradually withdrawing from the market. While demand has significantly decreased, sellers’ willingness to offer prices has declined, and the holiday atmosphere is growing stronger. Traders mainly focus on collecting payments and handling shipments during the week, entering the final stages, with transaction volumes shrinking to less than 30% of the daily average. This week, downstream factories have entered a concentrated shutdown period before the holiday, with a significant increase in the number of parking companies in the past two days. Among them, 63% of companies are scheduled to shut down from February 8 to February 12, making them the main shutdown group before the holiday, while 22% plan to shut down on February 14-15 (the 27th-28th of the lunar month), mainly in factories producing thin-walled injection molding, BOPP films, and non-woven fabrics. As downstream procurement nearly stalls, the market has entered a stockpiling phase. (Zhuochuang Information)
