On the last day of the Spring Festival holiday, Hainan experienced a peak in return travel, with today’s three major airports in Hainan预计 transporting over 232,000 passengers. In response to the return peak, the Civil Aviation Administration approved overtime flights, precisely targeting popular destinations such as Shanghai and Beijing. All four major airlines have increased their flights to Hainan. Air China added flights from Haikou Meilan to Beijing Capital and Chengdu Tianfu from February 23 to 25, flights from Haikou Meilan to Shanghai Pudong on February 24 and 25, and a flight from Haikou Meilan to Hangzhou Xiaoshan on February 23, each daily. China Eastern Airlines increased flights from Haikou Meilan to Shanghai Pudong daily from February 24 to March 5. China Southern Airlines added one flight each on February 23 from Sanya Phoenix to Guangzhou Baiyun and on February 24 from Guangzhou Baiyun to Sanya Phoenix.
