Affected by rain, snow, and freezing weather, Berlin Airport in Germany suspends all flight departures

Affected by snow and freezing rain, all flights at Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany were suspended on the morning of February 5th local time. The airport stated that due to the rapid freezing of the freezing rain, de-icing operations could not be carried out temporarily, leading to a complete halt of departures. A airport spokesperson said that the current measures only involve departing flights, while arriving flights can still land in Berlin. It is unclear how long the suspension of departures will last, and travelers may face flight cancellations and significant delays. (CCTV News)
