Comparison of ride-hailing services in China, Singapore, Dubai, and Thailand, the differences are quite significant:
- China ride-hailing: Usually luxury sedans, understated luxury, just comfortable (using an MPV to pick up in China feels a bit strange)
- Singapore ride-hailing: Usually luxury MPVs, like Alpha, Denza D9, etc., automatic doors, super large 7-seaters (because Singapore's vehicle ownership certificate costs around 500,000, so business vehicles tend to be larger MPVs with higher ROI)
- Dubai ride-hailing: Usually large MPVs like GMC, which are imposing and grand (Dubai has wide roads, cheap fuel, so they prefer these gas-guzzlers)
- Thailand ride-hailing: Super large MPVs, a bit like minivans, the driver was stunned to see me alone😂 I was also surprised to see such a vehicle picking me up. Having just returned from Thailand, it left a deep impression
- Due to tourism culture, they prefer 9-12 seat minivans
- Because of tourism culture, the vehicles are modified inside, with screens and light strips on the ceiling, kind of like a mobile KTV
