As of January 26, 2026, Pi Network has transitioned into its Open Mainnet phase (launched February 2025), moving beyond the enclosed model to allow public trading and external connectivity. The network currently reports over 60 million registered Pioneers, with approximately 17.5 million having completed KYC and 15.8 million migrating their balances to the blockchain.
Recent technical progress includes the January 2026 activation of Stellar Protocol v25, which introduced smart contract capabilities and ZK-proofs.
