#PI Many people claim that Raspberry Pi is still in the "closed" phase, mainly because the roadmap on the official Raspberry Pi website has not been updated. However, this claim is actually unfounded.
Pi officially launched its open network (mainnet) in early 2025. This alone is enough to refute the claim that Pi is still in the closed mainnet phase.
Anyone who has carefully browsed the Pi website knows that the core team updates the site very slowly, or rather, they do not prioritize frequent updates. In fact, they usually revise the white paper and technical details gradually over time, rather than updating everything at once. The roadmap currently displayed on the website was originally published during the closed mainnet phase, and in reality, it does need to be updated.
Using outdated roadmap images to ignore or deny the already announced launch of the open network, and then insisting that Pi is still in the closed mainnet phase, is not a logical conclusion.
