Why is it not advisable to rush into shorting now? Let me analyze the market pattern.
Looking at ETH's 1-hour chart, the price just stabilized around 3200 and is still accelerating near 3288—this breakout bullish candle is a signal. After breaking through a key resistance, it’s normal to see an inertial surge higher. 3288 is far from the ceiling; the real resistance zone is between 3350 and 3400.
SOL's performance is even more extreme. A perfect 45-degree ascending channel, with the green Range Filter support line tightly holding the price at 137. There’s a major taboo in shorting here: never short an asset that hasn't broken its moving average and trendline. SOL hasn't even formed a decent bearish candle yet. Are you really going to short now? That’s like betting on a sudden crash in the next second—such a probability is ridiculously low.
The key background is Bitcoin. BTC is consolidating near its all-time high around 94,000, with no signs of large funds withdrawing. As long as Bitcoin remains stable, short positions on altcoins like SOL and SUI could be wiped out by a quick 5% rally. That’s the current market logic—since the trend hasn't reversed, shorting is just gambling.
