Starting from 8:00 PM on January 2, 2026 (Beijing Time), the funding rate settlement mechanism for U-based perpetual contracts will be optimized. When the funding rate remains below an absolute value of 0.025% for 16 consecutive hours, the system will automatically adjust in the 17th cycle — changing the settlement frequency from hourly to every 4 hours.

However, it is important to note that as long as the funding rate exceeds an absolute value of 0.025% in any cycle, the adjustment will not be triggered, and the settlement frequency will remain unchanged. If the conditions for reducing frequency are met, the system will complete the switch in approximately 15 minutes.

The new settlement times after the adjustment will be at 04:00, 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, 20:00, and 00:00 the next day, all in Beijing Time. For traders accustomed to perpetual contracts, this change means that during periods of low market volatility and stable rates, funding payments will be more concentrated, allowing for clearer planning of position costs.
