Recently, there has been an interesting phenomenon in the futures market. The daily trading volume of BTC futures plummeted from $123 billion to $63 billion, a drop of more than half. Participation clearly declined, but sellers still maintained significant pressure.

But there is a bit of a mystery here. The shrinking trading volume and decreased participation actually led to a significant narrowing of volatility. The market has fallen into relative calm.

The question is—does this calm really mean everything is fine? On the contrary. Historically, before every major upheaval, the market often experiences this strange tranquility first. Price movements that seem to have no fluctuations are often a brewing period before large one-way swings. Those fluctuations are just delayed, not disappeared.

So the current exhaustion of trading volume and suppressed volatility may be paving the way for the next wave of intense market moves. Stay alert.

Damn, it's that same theory of calm before the storm again. I really can't take it anymore.

The calm before the storm, I've heard this saying too many times, but every time it's damn true. The halving of trading volume is indeed a bit creepy, like a big move is brewing. This time is different, it really feels like it's coming. Let's wait and see, volatility is about to take off, and I'm betting on a breakout. History does tend to repeat itself; it all depends on how quickly we react.

There is always a storm before the calm. I've heard this saying quite a bit, but the data in front of us does seem a bit strange. Halving of trading volume—either big players are holding back a major move, or retail investors have all exited. I bet on the former. Will history really repeat itself? Hard to say, but it's still important to protect your positions. Wait, what does it mean for the sellers to push so aggressively? Are they trying to smash the price or test the bottom? This round of market action is indeed very dull, with mental fatigue... I believe in the illusion of calm. But when it will explode is anyone's guess. The only thing to fear is waiting until the end of time.

The calm before the storm, I've heard this rhetoric too many times before. The volatility hasn't disappeared, it's just delayed? Alright, let's wait and see whose prediction is more accurate.
