Ethereum supply exceeds 121 million tokens, with an annual growth rate of 0.8%
【Blockchain Rhythm】New changes have been observed in on-chain data for Ethereum. In the past 7 days, the net supply of ETH has increased by 18,614 coins, indicating that the new issuance of Ethereum has exceeded the amount burned. As of December 26, the total supply of Ethereum has surpassed 121 million coins, with an exact figure of 121,318,655 ETH.
In terms of growth rate, Ethereum’s current annual supply increase remains stable at around 0.8%. This figure is relatively moderate — by comparison, BTC’s supply growth rate has already entered single digits. This growth rate for ETH mainly comes from block rewards for miners, minus the ETH burned through the destruction mechanism.
Against the backdrop of the ongoing development of the Ethereum ecosystem and Layer 2 scaling solutions absorbing some transaction traffic, the frequency of on-chain transactions and Gas consumption directly influence supply dynamics. This set of data reflects the real-time activity level on the chain.
