Is Musk serious this time? Some tech developers digging through Tesla’s website code have uncovered a bombshell—the Dogecoin $DOGE payment interface has already been deeply integrated into the system’s backend. It’s not just for the Model 3; even Cybertruck’s backend has a complete processing logic in place. This isn’t some “testing phase” or “future plan”—the technical architecture is right there, ready to go live at any moment.
Connecting the dots from the past few months makes things even more interesting: Musk keeps mentioning Dogecoin every so often, X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) is reportedly applying for an “X Money” financial license, and now there’s concrete evidence in the code. This isn’t just adding another payment method; it’s more like building a closed-loop cryptocurrency ecosystem of “car purchase + payment + social.” Imagine ordering a Cybertruck directly with $DOGE on the X platform, without ever touching the traditional banking system—now that’s truly redefining the rules of transactions.
The timing is also quite intriguing. Global capital flows are already being restructured, and now Tesla is bringing cryptocurrency into mainstream consumer scenarios, which is like giving the industry a shot of adrenaline. Code never lies; it always comes before any official announcement. While other car manufacturers are still competing on range and autonomous driving, Tesla has already started competing at the payment infrastructure level.
What could this mean? Dogecoin’s use cases could see a qualitative leap, Tesla may become one of the most important real-world consumption gateways for cryptocurrency, and the financialization process of X might progress much faster than the market expects. A revolution in payment methods is already entering the countdown stage.
Do you think $DOGE will become a regular payment option for Tesla? Share your thoughts in the comments.
