To ensure the safety of your funds and support the compliant development of the digital asset industry—reducing risks such as fraud, money laundering, and ransomware—Gate requires all users to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification. After successful verification, users can deposit and withdraw cryptocurrencies, trade fiat, and access other features.
KYC Verification Process
Step 1: Enter the Identity Verification Page
Log in to your Gate account, then go to [Avatar] -[Identification] - [Personal / Corporate Verification] - [Verify Now] to start the process.
Step 2: Complete Verification
① Basic Information
Fill in the required details as prompted, including nationality, country of residence, full name, ID type, and ID number. Once verified, click [Next].
If the basic information is filled out incorrectly, you can click [Previous] to make changes.
(Note: Make sure your ID details match your basic information exactly.)
You will then be redirected to the identity verification page. Verification can be completed via [App QR Code] or [Web Face Recognition].

Note:
- If the page is unresponsive after uploading documents, refresh the page and try uploading again, or switch to a different browser and upload once more.
- If you see "KYC FAILED: Please try again in 5 minutes" or "Please verify in person," submit a support ticket with your verified documents. Official staff will assist you. This usually happens with older IDs or if the system cannot verify your identity automatically.
If facial recognition is not possible, you can choose [Gesture Recognition].
Note: Note: International users can upload photos on the web as required, without video verification; domestic users must complete video verification.
You can verify using a gesture, or click [Local Upload] to upload a gesture photo showing the last four digits of your Gate UID. Confirm the photo is correct, then click [Submit].
Note:
- The photo file must be between 10KB and 4MB and in JPG or PNG format.
- Ensure the photo has no watermarks or stains, the gesture is clear, and the upper body is fully visible
② Address verification
After your identity verification is approved, you can proceed by clicking [Verify Now] to complete address verification.
Follow the on-screen instructions, fill in the required information, verify it is correct, and click [Submit]. Then wait for the review to be completed.
