Golden Finance reported that on April 4, an insider said that on the 1st of this month, the U.S. submitted a 48-hour interim ceasefire proposal to Iran through a friendly country. The Iranian side assessed that because the U.S. had previously misjudged Iran’s military capabilities, after the situation escalated the U.S. forces faced serious difficulties in the region, and the U.S. therefore put forward the proposal. The insider said that Iran did not respond to the U.S. ceasefire proposal in writing, but instead made a “on-the-spot response” by continuing to carry out heavy firepower strikes on the battlefield. The insider revealed that after Iranian strikes hit the U.S. equipment warehouse on Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island, the U.S.’ diplomatic efforts to seek a ceasefire were significantly stepped up. (CCTV)
