Golden Finance reports that on April 1, Francesco Pesole of ING stated in a report that, in order to induce a more significant decline in the US dollar, reopening the Strait of Hormuz might be a necessary condition. Trump said that U.S. military actions in Iran could end within two to three weeks, while Iran’s President Pezeshkian stated that if certain conditions are met, Tehran has the “necessary willingness to end the war.” However, it is currently unclear whether the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened. Pesole said: “We believe that only when the timeline and route for restarting the strait become clearer, the US dollar index DXY could fall back to the low of 99.0 seen on March 23.”
