PANews reported on August 18 that Kashif Raza, the founder of Bitinning, stated on the X platform that the Indian CBDT (Income Tax Department) has communicated with local crypto exchanges, requesting feedback on issues such as VDA (Virtual Digital Assets) regulation, volume outflow, tax framework, loss deductions, the impact of a 30% tax rate, challenges in TDS enforcement, and tax fairness between domestic and foreign exchanges. This marks the first formal dialogue on crypto tax policy in India.
