BlockBeats message, April 8: A senior Iranian official said that if a ceasefire framework agreement is reached before a U.S.-Iran meeting in Islamabad, Iran may reopen the Strait of Hormuz as early as Thursday or Friday. Reopening the shipping lanes would be limited, would need to be coordinated with Iran’s military, and all vessels would still require permission.

Earlier, a report said that the representatives of both the U.S. and Iran are expected to hold further talks in Islamabad on April 10 to reach a final agreement to resolve all disputes.

According to monitoring by PolyBeats, on the prediction market Polymarket, the probability of “the Strait of Hormuz resuming navigation this month” rose from 26% to 41% in nearly 1 hour.
