1. What are Gate Alpha Points?
Gate Alpha Points is a point-based system used to assess user engagement in Gate Alpha. It determines your eligibility for Token Generation Events (TGE), Alpha airdrops, and other exclusive benefits. Gate Alpha points are calculated daily based on your total asset balance and Alpha purchase volume. Selling Gate Alpha tokens does not earn you any points. Your Gate Alpha points represent the total of your daily points (balance points plus trading volume points) over the past 15 days. For any questions, please check the FAQ.
2. How to enter the Alpha Points page?
Option 1: Go to [Alpha Points] via the app sidebar Option 2: Tap [Alpha Points] at the top right of the order panel Option 3: Search for [Alpha Points] on the homepage
3. Time and snapshot rules
Daily snapshot time: 23:59:59 (UTC) Data is updated daily by 02:00:00 (UTC) For example, if you complete the trade before 23:59:59 (UTC) on April 22, it will be included in the April 22 points calculation cycle, as it occurs before 00:00:00 (UTC) on April 23.
4. Will my Alpha Points expire automatically?
Yes. Gate Alpha Points operates on a rolling 15-day cycle. Each point will automatically expire 15 days after its snapshot date. You can track your earned and expiring points in the Daily Points Details.
5. When are points consumed and deducted?
When you confirm your airdrop claim, your Alpha Points will be consumed and deducted immediately, with the earliest earned points deducted first. The deducted points will be reflected in your total points calculation on the following day.
6. How are the daily balance points calculated?
Only Alpha assets are counted, and the maximum daily balance points are adjusted to 3 points.
7. How are trading volume points calculated?
Only "Buy" trades in the Alpha Featured section are counted; "Sell" trades are excluded. Each day, your first $2 purchase earns 1 point. For every subsequent doubling of the buy amount, you earn 1 additional point (e.g., $2 = 1 point, $4 = 2 points, $8 = 3 points, $16 = 4 points, and so on).
8. Can I use subaccounts to participate in Gate Alpha Points?
Only the main account is eligible to earn Alpha Points. Balances from subaccounts are combined under the main account's total points, and splitting balances across accounts will not increase your overall points. Similarly, the subaccount buy amounts in the Alpha [Featured] section will be counted towards the main account.
9. Rules for event points
Gate Alpha will occasionally launch token events where trading designated tokens grants additional or double points during the event period. Please refer to the official announcements for detailed rules.
10. Can I choose whether to use Alpha Points when claiming an airdrop?
Yes. Participating in any airdrop that requires Alpha Points is entirely optional. Your Gate Alpha Points will only be deducted if you choose to claim the airdrop.
11. Will point changes affect my claim during the claim period?
No, the total airdrop claim period may exceed 24 hours, and eligibility is based on your Alpha Points balance at the start of the event. Changes to your balance during the claim period will not affect the airdrop amount or your eligibility. Each user can only claim an airdrop for the same project once. Once claimed, or when the claim period ends, the claim button will become inactive.
12. How can I earn more points?
Gate Alpha will occasionally launch token events where trading designated tokens grants additional points. Please refer to the official announcements for detailed rules.
13. Will I receive the airdrop as long as I meet the points requirement?
No, each project's airdrop has a limited supply and is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you meet the points requirement but the current airdrop has been fully claimed, please stay tuned for the next airdrop window. Gate will strive to ensure that more eligible users have the opportunity to claim future airdrops.
14. Can I participate in and claim rewards from multiple thresholds in the same points airdrop event?
No. In the same points airdrop event, the platform may set multiple different points thresholds (e.g., 100 points, 120 points, 150 points, etc.). Different thresholds correspond to different reward amounts, aiming to cover the needs of users at various points tiers and ensure participation opportunities for all types of users. However, please note: Users can only select one threshold to participate in and claim rewards in the same event . Once you confirm claiming the reward for a specific threshold, the system will deduct the corresponding points and distribute the reward. Afterward, even if the points deduction causes your points to meet the requirements of other lower thresholds, you will not be able to participate in or claim rewards from other thresholds in the same event, thereby avoiding duplicate rewards.
15. How to correctly calculate your points balance?
In the "Daily Points Details" table, your points balance = volume points (15 days) + balance points (15 days) - points consumed (15 days), please do not calcuate the expired points.
