Jin10 data reported on March 28 that Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk stated that Armenia would have to make a choice between the Eurasian Economic Union and the EU, and it is impossible to be on two boats at the same time. On March 26, the Armenian parliament passed a bill regarding the country’s intention to join the EU in the final reading, but the EU itself did not propose the country’s accession, and the opposition claimed that the document is legally absurd. Overchuk told reporters: “I have seen the legal text passed by Armenia. This is Armenia’s internal affair.” He pointed out that the Eurasian Economic Union and the EU have “similar agendas.” He said: “Therefore, of course, Armenia must clarify its direction and make a choice. Because it is absolutely obvious that it is impossible to be on two boats at the same time.”
