#Ripple receives official approval for its stablecoin #RLUSD for use in regulated financial activities in Abu Dhabi.
Ripple announced that its dollar-backed stablecoin Ripple USD (RLUSD) has been recognized as a resident token on traditional currency by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority in Abu Dhabi, allowing its use within the Abu Dhabi Global Market.
Authorized and licensed individuals from the authority can now use RLUSD in regulated financial activities, fully complying with regulatory standards. This recognition enhances RLUSD's position as a reliable and compliant stablecoin for institutional use in the Middle East, after previously obtaining other regulatory approvals in the region.
Ripple plans to use RLUSD in cross-border payment solutions and support capital markets through the Ripple Prime platform, facilitating financial transfers between the traditional system and digital currencies.
