Most crypto accounts don't tell you when they get a trade wrong
But I will try to be different
So that you can learn how I minimize my losses
Yesterday I managed to get a really good entry on a short at 36,050 and I set my stop loss to 36,500
I was in profit immediately after but I had to sleep right after, so I wanted to protect my capital
I adjusted my stop losses just below my entry - 36,040 and went to sleep
But because I adjusted my stop loss, I managed not to lose anything.
This market can be really tricky to get right sometimes, regardless of what other accounts try and tell you

BTC Stop Hunt
BTC has been trading in an ascending triangle for a couple weeks now
This pattern is identified by higher lows and equal highs
Traders see this pattern and start seeing the highs as resistance, so they start shorting and putting their stop losses right above this line
These stop losses usually get wiped out with a quick wick like in the pic above - this is a stop hunt
But what's a loss to some, is an opportunity to others
Price will either bounce or go even lower, so depending on what happens I will adjust my trade accordingly

The Altcoin Market Is BOOMING right now
And there might be more to come....
The Altcoin market cap has had a breakout from a descending triangle which has been acting as resistance for 6 MONTHS
There_s another 10% left for it to reach its yearly-highs, which is definitely possible
As long as Bitcoin doesn_t dump, we could very well get an Altcoin season!
Standout performers since last week are:

Bitcoin has shown a very interesting and predictable pattern this year...
Every pump (20%+) got retraced by at least 50%
An extreme example is when ALL of the 20% pump in June got retraced in August
Does that mean we_re dumping straight away?
Well no....
Actually, it can take anywhere between 1-3 months.
And usually, we get a 5-10% pump before we go down again.
So basically, if history repeats, Bitcoin goes up to anywhere between 36-39k, and then back down to at least 31k.

Money is flowing FROM Altcoins INTO Bitcoin
The next resistance is at 58%, so another 5% market share Bitcoin could gain!
This is what happens in the early stages of a bull cycle - Bitcoin pumps first.
On the other hand, the Altcoin market cap is trading within a descending triangle
I won_t be going heavy on Altcoins UNTIL a break out from this triangle

XRP long trade update
I’ve taken some profits on my XRP long trade (see below tweet)
Why? We’re getting a lot of resistance at 0.53 and there’s a big liquidity pool from 0.49-0.5
The price could retrace back to 0.49 before going to 0.55
I still have half of my trade active but I’ve set the stop loss at my entry price to protect my funds
