Aster has published its roadmap for the first half of 2026, outlining the next stage of development following what the team calls a breakthrough year. In 2025, the platform introduced several major releases, including its multi-asset margin system, mobile app, token generation event, listings on centralized exchanges, and the launch of a buyback program.
Now, Aster is moving from proving its capabilities to building long-term network infrastructure. The team describes the next phase as powered by three engines: Infrastructure, Token Utility, and Ecosystem & Community. Each category serves as an anchor for a continuous development cycle, where new technologies bring value, value strengthens collaboration, and collaboration drives further innovation.
Aster will conclude 2025 by implementing Shield Mode, a mechanism for private high-leverage trading, along with an update to the real-world assets group (RWA) with deeper and broader perpetual equity markets. The Aster Chain testnet, one of the most anticipated launches of the year, will also open to the community before the end of the year.
The first half of 2026 promises to introduce the project’s most transformative features. In the first quarter, the Aster Layer-1 blockchain will launch, Aster Code will debut for developers, and new fiat on/off ramps will be integrated.
The second quarter will bring $ASTER staking, on-chain governance implementation, and Aster Smart Money—a feature enabling users to share or follow trading strategies in real time. Aster emphasizes that each release strengthens the network’s core mission: to build not just a trading platform, but a living ecosystem shaped by the community.
