Goldman Sachs reports that on April 20th, according to the New York Post, U.S. President Trump stated on Monday that Vice President Pence and the U.S. delegation are heading to Pakistan and are expected to arrive within a few hours. If negotiations make progress, he is willing to meet with senior Iranian leaders. Trump said, “We should be negotiating. So I don’t think anyone is playing games at the moment.” He dismissed questions about the possibility of negotiations breaking down. Trump confirmed that the U.S. delegation—including Vice President Pence, envoy Vitkov, and advisor Kushner—has departed for Islamabad to attend the next round of talks. “They are now on their way there,” Trump said shortly after 9 a.m. Eastern Time on Monday (9:00 p.m. Beijing time). “They will arrive tonight (Islamabad time).”
