ChainCatcher Nachrichten zufolge hat Caroline D.Pham, die amtierende Vorsitzende der Commodity Futures Trading Commission (Kommission für den Handel mit Warentermingeschäften), offiziell ihr Amt niedergelegt und wird von Michael Selig als 16. Vorsitzender abgelöst. Selig war zuvor Mitglied der speziellen Gruppe für Krypto-Assets der SEC und setzte sich aktiv für die Gesetzgebung zur Marktstruktur von digitalen Vermögenswerten ein. Er plädierte dafür, die Praxis des “Regulierungs-gleich-Vollstreckung” zu beenden. Er erklärte, dass er die CFTC dazu führen werde, im neuen Zeitalter der finanziellen Innovation in den USA “gesunden Menschenverstand” Regeln zu entwickeln, um die USA zum globalen Zentrum für Krypto-Kapital zu machen.
