KOLs are actually a motley crew. Many people take on ads just for the sake of taking on ads. When projects come to them, they barely do any due diligence at all. Most just casually throw together copy and post it (even top-tier KOLs do this). Many act like they're above it all. It's as if they expect project teams to beg them to do promotion. They've been spoiled! They throw their weight around, but actually don't even understand the projects themselves. Many project teams feedback that lots of KOLs (including top influencers) don't seriously conduct research. You ask them to do a promotion, pay them a few thousand dollars, and they just phone it in. Unprofessional and irresponsible—like the project teams owe them something. Let your work speak for itself. The ones who can actually drive real results? There really aren't many.
As a KOL agency, what I really want to say is:
KOLs are actually a motley crew.
Many people take on ads just for the sake of taking on ads.
When projects come to them, they barely do any due diligence at all.
Most just casually throw together copy and post it (even top-tier KOLs do this).
Many act like they're above it all.
It's as if they expect project teams to beg them to do promotion.
They've been spoiled!
They throw their weight around, but actually don't even understand the projects themselves.
