According to Bloomberg, Bullish Aim, owned by Ismail Ibrahim, a member of the Johor royal family in Malaysia, has launched the RMJDT, a ringgit-pegged stablecoin. The stablecoin will be fully backed by Malaysian ringgit cash and short-term Malaysian government bonds, and will be issued on the Zetrix blockchain, aiming to become the local standard for crypto payments. Malaysia has recently adopted a more positive stance toward virtual assets, with Anwar previously expressing a desire to promote responsible innovation. Bullish Aim also plans to invest 500 million ringgit (about $121 million) to establish a digital asset vault, with an initial investment in Zetrix tokens.
