Base direct Solana asset channel, CCIP cross-chain bridge officially launched

Abstract generation in progress

[Chain News] Base recently made a big move—it directly established an asset bridge with Solana. What does this mean? Assets on Solana can now natively circulate on Base, and conversely, assets from Base can move over to Solana.

The bridge is built on Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). Security hasn’t been overlooked either; message verification uses a dual mechanism: both Coinbase’s own nodes and Chainlink’s nodes provide endorsement.

Simply put, this is like building a highway between Ethereum L2 and Solana, making asset transfers much more straightforward.

actually, dual validation nodes means we're looking at roughly 99.97% uptime probability assuming independent failure rates... but let's be real, the bridge liquidity depth will determine actual utility here, not the theoretical security model

Forget it, it's another cross-chain bridge. I really don't dare to gamble on the security of this kind of thing.

Someone has finally connected these two chains. I've been waiting for this.

Someone finally connected these two chains; it should have been done like this a long time ago.
