According to Decrypt, British man Ping Fai Yuen filed materials in high court alleging that his ex-wife Fun Yung Li obtained hardware wallet seed phrases through "secretly recording videos" using home CCTV and other methods, and transferred approximately 2,323 BTC from his Trezor wallet on August 2, 2023, dispersing it across 71 addresses. After being alerted by family members, he installed recording devices to gather evidence. Following a hearing on March 2, the judge ruled that the plaintiff had a higher probability of winning the case and stated that given Bitcoin's volatility, the case should be expedited; police previously arrested relevant individuals and seized cold wallets, but stated there are no further actions pending new evidence.
