Gate News message, April 17 — Kensington Gardens in London was cordoned off overnight following reports of a potential drone attack on the nearby Israeli Embassy carrying dangerous substances. Police said the Embassy was not actually attacked, but officers are investigating items discarded in the park to verify the authenticity of an online video in which a group claimed responsibility for the threat.
Counter Terrorism Policing London confirmed awareness of the video shared overnight and deployed officers wearing protective clothing as a precaution. A Met Police spokesperson stated: “There is an increased police presence in Kensington Gardens and officers are assessing a number of discarded items. As a precaution, some of the officers who have been deployed are wearing protective clothing.”
Authorities do not believe there is an immediate public safety risk at this stage. The park remains closed to the public “until further notice” while police carry out their investigation. Royal Parks and the Metropolitan Police have urged residents and visitors to avoid the area.
