Gate News Nachricht, am 5. April berichtete der US-amerikanische nationale öffentliche Rundfunk am 3. April, dass ein Sprecher der US Navy erklärte: Nachdem der Konflikt zwischen den USA und dem Iran begonnen hatte, wurden innerhalb einer US-Militärbasis in Bahrain bereits 1500 US-Soldaten sowie deren Angehörige wieder in die USA verlegt. Der Bericht erwähnte außerdem, dass andere US-Militärbasen in der Region ebenfalls Personal evakuiert hätten, die genaue Zahl der Evakuierten jedoch noch unklar sei.
